Welcoming friends at home calls for minor adaptations to increase meeting quality
The big day of that dinner or wine with friends at home came. All purchased, separate crockery, but is that all a host needs to do before opening the doors for the guests?
Experts recommend minor adjustments to the dining room to make the meeting more cozy and memorable for everyone. Starting with lighting – they say this is not the time to save electricity.
Tips include opening windows, lighting candles and LED strips. The idea is that people can see their plates and each other as well. Be careful only with obfuscation.
Another measure is to evaluate the furniture in the environment, to see if there is enough seating for everyone, if the circulation space around the table is good, and if it is necessary to rotate some parts or subtract another momentarily to generate more space.
If there is a rug under the table that can trip people, it is best to remove it from the place. Make room on the counter tops so that you can serve all foods and drinks.
A good tip is to relocate lounge chairs and position them at the ends of the dining table and leave the traditional chairs in the center facing each other. Or, on the contrary, hide the remaining chairs in another room of the house.
Also remove the day-to-day decoration from the counters around the table and reserve these areas if you wish to display all the food platters at the time of the meal.
Leave the dining table free only for plate, glass and cutlery sets. In addition, only some decorative elements. Otherwise, nothing more.
