Xande transforms text messages into the inspiring “So Far,” a track that speaks about long-distance relationships. The song is part of the artist’s debut studio album, “Poetry, Love, and the Sea.” Singer and songwriter Xande has just released his latest single, “So Far.” The music serves as a declaration of love and faith capable of overcoming physical barriers, even the distance between two cities. “So Far” originated from a text message received by the artist during a relationship, evolving into a profound song about resilience and love. The track will also have a special music video set to be released on January 25.
“I love this song. It’s a real story that fits into the lives of many people. How many on this planet are forced to endure distance to experience great love?” says Xande.
“So Far” is the second track from the album “Poetry, Love, and the Sea,” a project that blends Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) and romantic Pop with memorable melodies. In the album, Xande sings songs inspired by love, faith, and the sea. Listeners may truly feel as if they are standing with their feet in the sand.
The musical production is by Rodolfo Simor, renowned for his notable work with artists like Silva, a Latin Grammy nominee in 2017. Additionally, Simor has been involved in the curation of Rock in Rio and the 2023 Multishow Awards. The video, illustrated by Água Viva Cósmica and edited by Lucas Zana, portrays the story of the song in a light and delicate manner.
Poetry, Love, and the Sea
“So Far” is a part of the upcoming album “Poetry, Love, and the Sea,” which features nine tracks, including eight songs and one recited poem. The track follows the single “In God’s Time,” the first release from the project that marks the beginning of Xande’s solo career. The album is produced by the acclaimed Rodolfo Simor, known for his work with numerous artists, particularly for Silva, earning two Latin Grammy nominations in 2017 for production and mixing on the album “SILVA CANTA MARISA” (SLAP/Som Livre).
Collaborative work on the album began in 2019, where they transformed Xande’s lyrics and poems into songs with memorable melodies. In the album, Xande embraces simplicity, beauty, and serenity, with positive messages and love as the main themes.
